    Sept. 4, 1969 – Sept. 21, 2017

    Tiffany Sue Burton Simonin, 48, of Kewanna, passed away at 12:25 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis. This followed a valiant battle with diabetes.

    On Sept. 4, 1969, Tiffany was born in Cook County, Ill. She was the cherished daughter of Harold and Elaine Morgan Burton. Growing up she shared her childhood with two brothers, Donald and Jerry. She attended Delong Christian Academy, where she was a member of the women’s volleyball team. Tiffany was a proud 10-year member of Fulton County 4-H.

    Mrs. Rowena G. Bryant, 93, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 3:12 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

    Near Athens, on July 11, 1924, Rowena Grace McIntire was born. She was a treasured daughter of Oval L. and Mary Mildred Craig McIntire. As one of six children, growing up she shared her childhood with four brothers and a sister.

    Edgar R. Schalliol, 93, passed away peacefully on Aug. 20, 2017, in Scottsdale, Ariz. 
    He served honorably in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1943 to 1946. He resided with his first wife, Patricia, in Mishawaka and South Bend. He later remarried, and he and his second wife, Susan, resided in Rochester. Later he and Susan moved to Casa Grande, Ariz. 
    He is survived by his three sons, Scott, Tom and Mark; their wives; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    His service will be at the First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande, Ariz., on Nov. 10, 2017. Arrangements are entrusted to Messinger Indian School Mortuary.

    Survivors include his children, Kathryn Middaugh, Plymouth, David Hartman, Plymouth, Nancy Suseland, Plymouth, and Jim Hartman, Culver; and his brother, Leo Hartman, Plymouth.
    His funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos. Visitation is 9 a.m. to the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.

    Merle E. Hostetler, 77, Denver, and formerly of Gilead, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by loving family, at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at his residence. 
    Merle was born Jan. 31, 1940, in Miami County, to Robert and Esther Hostetler.
