Joseph Dennis "Denny" Wertzberger, 83, Brownsburg, and formerly of Greenwood, was reunited with his wife of 53 years, Marcia (McGee) in Heaven on Feb. 5, 2017.

Joe was born on Feb. 20, 1933, in Rochester, to the late Howard R. and Kathleen Wertzberger. He was a 1950 graduate of Rochester High School and a 1954 graduate of Purdue University. Joe was a fan of his beloved Purdue, mostly when they won, but a Boilermaker through and through. Joe was also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served as captain. He earned his degree in pharmacy, which he practiced for more than 60 years.

Joe will be deeply missed by his children, Marc (Jacquie) Wertzberger, Marco Island, Fla., Matt Wertzberger, Greenwood, Leanne (Jeff) Ferguson, Brownsburg, and Mike (Rita) Wertzberger, Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren, Joey Wertzberger, and Neil and Abby Hurford; daughter-in-law Lisa Knipp; brother James H. Wertzberger; his nieces and nephews; and family and friends.

There will be a memorial service and celebration of life on Saturday, March 4, at Connection Pointe Christian Church, 1800 N. Green St., Brownsburg, IN 46112, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour before the service.
