Joseph E. Felke, 66, Claypool, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 25, 1950, in Plymouth, the son of Francis Edward and Evelyn Joan (Owens) Felke. On April 8, 2004, in Claypool, he married Marsha Welch. She survives.

Mr. Felke had worked in advertising at the Times-Union Newspaper in Warsaw, for more than 40 years. He was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War, and had been a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars post. He liked horse racing and playing cards, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending all of their events.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Felke, Claypool; children Tressa Marie and husband Rod Mohler, Hoffman Estates, Ill., Marc Joseph and wife Desiree Felke, Plymouth, and Cassandra Lynn Felke, Hoffman Estates, Ill.; stepdaughter Amy and husband Aaron Bird, Rochester; grandchildren Anthony Felke, Nicholas Felke, Miguel Felke, Morgan Mohler, Mackenzie Bird, Miranda Felke, Brooklynn Felke, and Mariah Felke; parents Ed and Joan Felke, Rochester; brother Mike Felke, Rochester; and niece Brandy Babcock, Buchanan, Mich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester, with the Rev. Michael McKinney officiating. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, where a military graveside service will be conducted.
