The U.S. Department of Agriculture wants meat labels to disclose where the animal was born, raised and slaughtered. This has prompted a lawsuit by large agribusiness interests who say it would be too costly. What say you about meat labels? Please check the response that most closely reflects you view.

1. I want to know if the food I buy comes from America or from overseas, where safety rules might not be as effective as they are here. I support the labeling proposal.

2. No opinion.

3. The USDA ought to back off. This proposal would be unfair to producers because it would increase their costs. The labeling proposal is an unwarranted intrusion into free enterprise.
