April 29, 1960 - July 22, 2012

Norman "Mick" Moore Jr., 52, Rochester, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at home surrounded by his family.

Mick was born on April 29, 1960, in Rochester, one of six children born to Norman and Connie (Sterk) Moore Sr. He attended and graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School in 1978. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time outdoors.

Mick fell in love and then married Paula Bilby on May 11, 1980, at the Assembly of God Church in Rochester. Together they had three daughters. Mick worked at Fulton Industries in Rochester for 33 years.

Mick was a huge NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Tony Stewart Fan Club as Tony was his favorite driver. He and Paula attended several races a year. He loved spending time with his family and friends especially his granddaughter Addison.

Mick is survived by his mother Connie Moore of Akron; wife Paula Moore of Rochester; daughters Misty and Meagan Moore of Rochester, and Amanda (Charlie) Smith of Plymouth; brothers Chris (Deb) Moore and Mark (Newanna) Moore of Akron; sisters Sheryl Bilby of Akron, and Mona (Kevin) Waller of Ft. Wayne; a granddaughter Addison Smith of Plymouth; sisters-in-law Betty (Tom) Stroud and Beth (Seamus) Pinder of Fulton, Kari (Gary) Hewes of Ft. Wayne, Kim (Jamie) Green of Rochester, and Mary (Trent) Slavens of Rossville; and brothers-in-law Scott Bilby of Akron, Pat (Brandy) Bilby of Fulton, Jon (LaDonna) Mitchell of Rochester, Brandon (Nicole) Rans of Texas, and George (Tracy) Rans of Plymouth.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother Ron.

A time of visitation will be at the Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012.

Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, with Pastor Thad Stewart officiating.

Interment will follow at Akron Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hope Hospice in Mick's name.

The Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, is in charge of arrangements.

I just learned of your husband's passing today (10/9/12). I am so very sorry for your loss.
