Melissa M. Broyles

Melissa M. Broyles, 37, Muncie, and formerly of Rochester, passed away at 7:10 p.m.. Monday Sept. 10, 2012 at her mother's residence in Rochester.
Melissa was born on Dec. 7, 1974 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., the daughter of Andre Ellis and Ramona (Morgan) Gebert.
Melissa was a 1993 graduate of Rochester High School, Rochester, and had attended Ball State University, Muncie. In March of 1997 in Tennessee, she married Don Edward Broyles II and he survives.
She had been a certified nurse's aide working at Golden Living Center, Muncie. Melissa was baptized at the First Presbyterian Church, Rochester, and had attended Faith Outreach Center, Rochester. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her children, family and listening to her husband's band.
Survivors include her children, Kay Ann Broyles, Ariel Broyles, both of Muncie, Kyra Broyles, Nicki Broyles, both of Rochester; mother and step-father, Ramona and husband Bryan Gebert, Rochester; father and step-mother, Andre and wife Becky Ellis, South Bend; step-father, Steven Mahoney Sr., Rochester; sisters, Summer and husband Tom Molitierno, Bryan, Ohio, Amanda (Gebert) and husband Mike McKenna, Milwaukee, Wis., Jennifer Ellis, South Bend, Maria Brock, Bunker Hill; brothers, Steven and wife Traci Mahoney Jr., Plymouth, Jeff Gebert, Milwaukee, Wis.; grandparents, Stanley and Dorothy Morgan, Rochester; Don and Marge Gebert, Franklin, Wis., Betty Mahoney, Rochester; aunts, Rebecca and husband Ryan Murphy, Rochester, Beth Schoen, Rochester; uncles, Dana and wife Cathy Morgan, Battle Creek, Mich., Gary Morgan, Rochester, Patrick Morgan, Portland, Ore., Eric Morgan, Rochester; father-in-law, Carl Soules, Muncie; sister-in-law, Rhonda and husband Cory Buntin, Anderson; eleven nieces and nephews; and nine cousins.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Barbara Wilson and mother-in-law, Judy Soules.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 15, 2012 at Faith Outreach Center, Rochester, with Pastor Terry Baldwin officiating.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
