Jan. 11, 1960 - Sept. 16, 2012

Lisa A. Rogers, 52, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 16, 2012, at her residence following a four year battle with Leiomysarcoma, a rare cancer.

She was born on Jan. 11, 1960 in Hartford City, the daughter of F.B. "Don" and Leta (Willmann) Morris Jr. and graduated from Blackford High school in 1979.

Lisa was co-owner of Thornburg Studio with her husband for seventeen years. Previously she and Steve had been employed at Prestige Portraits by Lifetouch and Peoples Studio.

She was a member of the Muncie Children's Museum Guild and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are her husband of thirty years, Steve; two daughters, Meredith Rogers (Fiance, Tony Barnett), Indianapolis and Adrienne Rogers, Muncie; her mother, Leta Morris, Hartford City; two sisters, Linette Schaden (husband, Chris), Naples, Fla. and Laurie Long (husband, Tom), Rochester; a brother, Lane Morris (wife, Angeline), Indianapolis; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, David L. and Patricia A. Rogers, Hartford City; a sister-in-law, Robyn Rogers, Hartford City; seven nieces and nephews, Nathaniel Long (Megan Warneke), South Bend, Jordan Long, Vincennes, Courtney Mealy (Kyle), Hartford City, Stephanie Collins (John), Chicago, Katey Schaden, Chicago, Maggie Schaden (Jason Provisor), Los Angeles, Calif., and Mia Morris, Indianapolis; and her two best friends, Tonia Coulter (husband, Mike), Albany, and Mary West (husband, Brian), Dunkirk.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Lindsey Morris.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Chaplain Bryan Wright officiating. Cremation will follow.

Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday.
