Juanita K. Hall-Sixbey
July 8, 1952 - June 10, 2013

Juanita Kay Hall-Sixbey, 60, of Sheridan, formerly of Rochester, passed away Monday morning, June 10, 2013, at Witham Hospital in Lebanon.

Born July 8, 1952, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Reeford and Sue (Phillips) Hall.

Kay was a 1970 graduate of Rochester Community High School. She was an office manager for Moss Fertilizer and Superior Grain Elevator, in Twelve Mile, and for IMI, formerly Cowles Gravel Company.

After a disabling health issue in 1999, she volunteered at St. Vincent Hospital. She found her calling by caring for sick and elderly people, which she enjoyed greatly.

Kay is survived by her son, Shannon M. (Tonya) Sixbey, of Rochester; her daughter, Cassie Bennington, of Sheridan; her grandson and pride and joy, Kaleb M. Bennington, of Sheridan; brothers and sisters, Frank (Cathy) Hall of Healy, Alaska, Judy (Terry) Emmons, of The Villages, Fla., and Marty (Sue) Hall, of Sturgeon, Mo.; 17 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews; nine great-great-nieces and nephews; dear friend, special companion and caregiver, Joseph Barlew; and former husband Mike Sixbey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry Lee Hall; and a sister, Vivienne L. Rush.

She was a devoted caregiver, and in an effort to continue to help others, she proudly elected to be an organ donor.

Following cremation, a memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, June 13, 2013, at Kercheval Funeral Home, Sheridan, with visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Reverend Jim Kyle will be officiating.

A graveside service at New Hope Cemetery, Phlox, will be held at a later date.
