Aug. 17, 1919 - Aug. 24, 2013

Miss Mary K. Wentzel, 94, of Rochester, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Life Care Center, Rochester.

On Aug. 17, 1919, Mary was born in Fulton County, the precious daughter of Peter and Amanda Copeland Wentzel. Growing up, as one of seven children, she shared her childhood with four brothers and a sister.

With a passion for jewelry, Mary was a proud owner of a unique collection. Throughout her life, she enjoyed artwork, many times expressing herself with Crayola on paper. As a younger lady, she also enjoyed relaxing on the front porch, swing and greeting friends and neighbors as they passed by. She dearly loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews.

Mary is lovingly remembered by her brother, Harold Wentzel and wife Nancy, of Plymouth; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mary in death were her parents; two sisters, Vivian Wentzel on Aug. 21, 1973, and Betty Weller on May 4, 2011; and three brothers, Lester Wentzel, Covert Wentzel and Elwood Wentzel, as an infant.

A celebration of the life of Miss Mary K. Wentzel will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, in the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Chaplain Charlie Azbell officiating.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

Mary will be laid to eternal rest in the family plot at the Bruce Lake Cemetery.

Memorials maybe made to Life Care Center Rochester Activity Fund or to Gentiva Hospice.

Online expressions of sympathy may be made to her family at
