Mary E. Beasley

Mary E. Beasley, 82, North Manchester, formerly of Akron, passed away at 11:48 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born on April 26, 1932, in Columbia City, the daughter of Charles Wilbur and Mildred Elizabeth (Gay) Jennings. On August 22, 1953, in Whitley County, she married Henry Guy Beasley. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1985.
Mrs. Beasley retired from Hart Schaffner & Marx, after more than forty years of service. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, quilting and flowers. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her family and preparing for all the family gatherings over the years.
Survivors include her children, Janice and husband Jerry Dimmick, Coldwater, Mich., Loretta Barnes, Riverside, Cal., Tom and wife Ande Huntley, Phoenix, Ariz., Nancy and husband Jim Mooney, Rochester, Deb and husband Jerry Baumgartner, Mentone, Linda and husband Steve Backus, Akron, Jeff Beasley and companion Pam Rhines, Mentone; grandchildren Greg Dimmick, Huntington, Kevin Dimmick, Huntington, Carrie Covey, Coldwater, Mich., Ty Barnes, Riverside, Cal., Richie Barnes, Somerset, Ky., Chris Huntley, Churubusco, Neil Huntley, Phoenix, Ariz., Michael Huntley, Phoenix, Ariz., Jeff Mooney, Rochester, John Mooney, Rochester, Kim McGlothin, Rochester, Ryan Baumgartner, Bargersville, Shari Rudd, Rochester, Scott Backus, Akron, Wes Backus, Akron, Eric Backus, Rochester, Autumn Kindig, Mentone, Austin Beasley, Tippecanoe; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister Janet and husband Fred Shatzer, Prescott, Ariz.; brother, Harry and wife Jan Jennings, Prescott, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Steve Huntley, granddaughter Kendra Beasley, brother Wilbur Jennings and son-in-law Robert Barnes.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Brian Sewell officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Akron Cemetery, Akron. Memorial contributions may be made to the Akron Cemetery Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
