Kathleen June Landis, 78, formerly of Akron, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Pilgrim Manor of Plymouth, where she resided.
She was born on June 1, 1938, in Akron, to George and Alice (Linebrink) Swope. She was married to Richard Dittman, Arden Miller and Lewis Landis, who all preceded her in death.
She had done secretarial work in her working years in Texas. She was a 1956 graduate of Akron High School. She, in years past, served as secretary of the Eagles Auxiliary of Rochester. She also was a member of the Manitou Pony Trotting Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Klein and companion Craig, LaPaz; sons Ron and wife Lynne Dittman, Akron, and Lee and wife Jeanette Dittman, Panama City, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sister Margarite Swope and brother Jack Swope.
Her funeral service is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor David Eaton officiating. Burial is at Akron Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

I first met Kathy at Lakeside Inn. She and I worked together when I was in high school. She always made me laugh. Who knew that I would marry into the family.
