David Pursifull


David M. Pursifull, 75, rural Rochester, passed away at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1941, in Huntington County, to Cedric and Velta (Redman) Pursifull.

On April 30, 1983, in Tallmadge, Mich., he married Wilma N. Bosscher. She survives.

David was a farmer and in agricultural sales, selling feed and breeding stock.

He was a graduate of Rockcreek High School of Wells County. He attended Riverview Community Church of Tippecanoe. He had a love for 4-H and enjoyed helping his kids and his grandkids with their 4-H exhibits through the years. He liked watching sports and traveling, especially to Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Pursifull, Rochester; his daughters, Teresa and husband Brian Bothast, Montpelier, Patricia "Patti" and husband Jassen Dugan, Rochester, and Robin and husband Rob Nash, Ionia, Mich.; his sons, Jerry and wife Louann Pursifull, Wabash, Mike and wife Jennifer Pursifull, Keystone, Brian Pursifull, Argos, Steve and wife Debbie Stevens, Norton Shores, Mich., and Gary and wife Julie Stevens, Casnovia, Mich.; 21 grandchildren, Jacob, Cheyenne, Andrew, Emily, Nick, Brett, Whitney Bree, Madison, Macen, Shelbi, Shannon, Branden, Craig, Philip, Emily, Megan, Kristen, Erin, Justin, Jessica, and Caralyn; eight great-grandchildren; his sisters, Betty and husband Fred Keller, Vero Beach, Fla, and Marlene "Sally" and husband Don Eschenbacher, Yoder; and his brother, Ted and wife Cathy Pursifull, Weiser, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Bill and Gary; and an infant sister, Wanda.

His funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor Rod Ruberg officiating. Burial will be at the Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, the funeral home.
