Micheal L. Wise
Jan. 26, 1950 - March 6, 2017
Micheal L. Wise, 67, of rural Akron, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre, Wabash, after being in failing health for five years.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1950, in Warsaw, to Lonus and Virginia (Currie) Wise.
On Nov. 22, 2003, in Akron, he married Annette Hartman. She survives.
He had been employed by Tippecanoe School Corporation since 1978 as a bus driver and custodian.
Micheal graduated from Akron High School in 1968. He then attended Manchester College and Purdue University. While at Purdue, he sang in the Purdue Glee Club. Mike also was a farmer, growing up on a dairy farm. He made custom hay for several people. He was an active member of the Fulton County Historical Society and served on the board for more than 15 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and the Mizpah Shrine. In earlier years, he was a member of the Fulton County Players, and in his youth, he was active in Kosciusko County 4-H. He was always an avid Allis-Chalmers fan and owner.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Wise, Akron; his sister, Nedra and husband Dale Wilcoxson, Pierceton; his nieces and nephews, Brent Fultz, Brian Fultz, Lori Montgomery and Julie Garofalo; and eight great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Christine Fultz, on March 26, 2014.
Honoring Mike's wishes, no service is planned at this time. Arrangements are handled by Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron.
