Susan E. Frettinger
Sept. 11, 1958 - March 14, 2017
Susan Frettinger
Susan Frettinger

Miss Susan E. Frettinger, 58, Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at 8:57 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at her residence. This followed a valiant battle with cancer.

On Sept. 11, 1958, Susan was born in Rochester. She was a treasured daughter of Frank Edward and Thelma J. Moon Frettinger. Growing up as the youngest of the Frettinger children, she shared her childhood with two sisters and a brother. With great pride, she graduated from Rochester High School in 1976.

Following her high school years, Susan went to work for the Fulton County Assessor's Office. She then began working for the federal Department of Agriculture farm service agency. Dedicated to agriculture, Susan served area farmers as a program assistant for 33 years, retiring in 2012.

Left to cherish Susan's memory are her mother, Thelma; two sisters, Peggy Casey and husband Ray, Indianapolis, and Patty Eads, Rochester; a brother, Dan Frettinger, Valley View, Texas; a niece, Dawn Eschenbach and husband Cary; seven nephews, Joel Casey and wife Tara, Dustin Casey, Nathan Saylor and wife Cindy, Jacob Frettinger, Taylor Frettinger, Andy Frettinger and Chris Frettinger; and two great-nieces, Isla Margaret Casey and Audie Kayanne Casey.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Frank, on April 18, 1987; brother-in-law, Rick Eads, on June 11, 2004; and a sister-in-law, Shar Frettinger, on April 6, 2016.

A celebration of the life of Miss Susan E. Frettinger will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with Pastor Jerry Pitman officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017, and an hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Richland Center IOOF Cemetery.

Electronic expressions of sympathy may be made to her family at www.goodfamilyfh.com.
