Paul G. Leavell, age 89, of Sunrise Beach, Mo., passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

He was born May 25, 1923, in Fulton, a son of the late Clyde and Ruth Marsh Leavell.

On Sept. 25, 1942, in Fulton he was united in marriage to Donna L. Sixbey, who preceded him in death on Aug. 7, 2012.

Paul owned and managed Arrowhead Angus Farms in Logansport for many years. After retiring to the Lake of the Ozarks, he became the on site resident manager of MM RV/Boat Storage in Sunrise Beach for seven years and also worked part-time for the Convention and Visitor Bureau in Osage Beach.

He was a member of the Fulton Baptist Church, was Past Worthy Patron of the Fulton Eastern Star Chapter and was a member of the Fulton Masonic Lodge. His favorite hobby was woodworking. He was extremely proud of the doll house he was currently constructing.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Connie Hutchens and husband Richard of Sunrise Beach; his grandson, Grant Hutchens and wife Pam; his great-grandchildren, Jace and Mia Hutchens; his brother, James Leavell of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

A celebration of Paul's life will is at 1:00 p.m., Monday, Sept. 24, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel with Pastor Martin Gipe officiating.

Interment will be held at a later date in Ever Rest Memorial Park in Logansport.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Laurie Care Center.
