March 20, 1961 - Dec. 10, 2012
Mrs. Candice "Candy" D. Denny, 51, of Rochester, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at Woodlawn Hospital.
She was born on March 20, 1961, in Osceola, Ark., the precious daughter of Jolly and Glenda Bailey Vaughn. Growing up, she shared her childhood with three sisters Teresa, Pam and Kisia. In 1979, with great pride, she graduated from Rochester High School.
Candy married Kenny Denny on Oct. 22, 2005, after a 14 year courtship.
With great joy for the holidays, Candy decorated her home with seasonal themes, cooking and hosting celebrations with the family - as these were the best of times. She cherished the visits of her grandchildren.
There were many memories made on the sparkling waters of Stafford Lake, swimming, fishing and floating. They all enjoyed camping out and sitting by the campfire on crisp autumn nights, under the starlit skies.
Candy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Kenny Denny; two sons, Ryan Easterday and wife Debra, of Rochester, and Neal Easterday and wife Rochelle, of Warsaw; three stepdaughters, Crystal Mitchell and husband Scott, of Kewanna, Faye Patton and Kimberly Patton, both of Akron; parents, Jolly and Glenda Vaughn, of Rochester; three sisters, Teresa Norrell and husband Kurt, of Cuero, Texas, Pamela Gagnon and husband Robert, of Rochester, and Kisia Ulery and husband Rod, of Rochester; 17 grandchildren including, Katherine, Tyler and Lindsey Beebout; Savannah Stephens, Dakotah and Xander Easterday; Sha Denny; Jonathon and Katlyn Mitchell; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Candy was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter Elizabeth Faye Marie Easterday.
A dinner celebrating Candy's life will be noon-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at Rochester's Comfort Inn Hospitality room.
Everyone who would like to share memories and remember the good times are invited.
The Good Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.
