Deborah Rachelle Carpenter, 51, Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away peacefully at home at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019.
In Rochester, on Jan. 8, 1968, Deborah Rachelle Calhoun was born to Larry and Gloria Arnett Calhoun. She was their second daughter, sharing her childhood with Lisa and her younger brother, Dustin. Debbie was a lifetime Rochester resident, graduating from Rochester High School in 1986.
On Aug. 4, 2001, Debbie married her best friend, Mr. Larry Lee Carpenter. On April 21, 2003, they welcomed the love of their lives, their beautiful daughter, Jaeda Courtnie Carpenter.
Debbie was a member of First Baptist Church. With a great love for children, she taught dance for many years. Debbie always loved and gave very attentive service to her customers at The Streamliner restaurant for many, many years. She always looked forward to the annual family trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Left to cherish the memory of Debbie are her husband, Larry, Rochester; a daughter, Jaeda Carpenter, Rochester; parents Larry and Gloria Calhoun, Rochester; a sister, Lisa Calhoun, Rochester, and her companion, Gary Klein, Claypool; a brother, Dustin Calhoun and wife Brooke, Noblesville; a niece, Caroline Calhoun; nephew Carson Calhoun; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents; and nephew Michael S. Calhoun, on Aug. 17, 2011.
A celebration of the life of Debbie Carpenter will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2018, at the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Dr. Mark Spencer and Pastor Kathy Nelson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Athens Mt. Hope Cemetery.
