March 23, 1960 - June 22, 2019

Teresa Petrosky Wallace, 59, Casper, Wyo., and formerly of Akron, died June 22, 2019, of a massive stroke at the Wyoming Medical Center.

Teresa was born March 23, 1960, in Rochester, to Rudy and Carolyn “Sue” Lockridge Petrosky.

She grew up in the Akron area, graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School in 1978 and from Purdue University with honors in psychology in 1982 and received her master’s degree at Kansas State University in 1986.

She worked for three years at youth service agencies in the Chicago suburbs before moving to Wyoming. She worked as a therapist at the Wyoming Counseling and Treatment Center in Casper. She began working at Casper College in 1991 as a counselor, the last six years as director of counseling. She retired in 2017.

She was also in over 50 plays at the Stage III Community Theatre. Several were lead roles. Her last play was in March in “All My Sons.” She enjoyed performing in the plays and dancing. In addition to her support of the arts, she also volunteered her time with the American Cancer Society and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society local branches.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Dob; sons Graham (Kayla), Durham, N.C., and Will, Casper, Wyo.; daughter Micki, Casper, Wyo.; mother Carolyn Petrosky, Akron; and brother Steve (Lisa) Petrosky, Akron.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rudy; brother Kim (Kemo); and sister Lichelle.

Her funeral service was June 28 in Casper.
